Goldust’s website, a project we're proud of, has earned us an Honorable Mention on Awwwards and several recognitions from CSS Design Awards.

A milestone we used to daydream about, back when Two Moons was just an idea and a bunch of half-finished XD drafts.

Where It All Began.

Two Moons Studio was born in 2020, when the world felt like it had been flipped on its head. We started with nothing, no clients, no real experience, just two people trying to balance studying and working while figuring out how to build a portfolio from scratch.

There were no polished case studies, no awards or recognitions for our work, no testimonials, but what we lacked in credentials, we made up for in passion. We had a clear vision from the start, one born out of frustration with the sea of sameness flooding the internet.

So many businesses were settling for off-the-shelf templates, even after pouring their heart, soul, and time into what they’d built. They deserved better. They deserved a digital home that told their story beautifully, something that captured what made them unique, not just in how it looked, but in how it worked. Thoughtful, functional, and entirely their own.

We started out using drag-and-drop builders ourselves, but quickly ran into their limitations, wether that be design, features or functionality, we could never really built what we wanted, and our clients needed.

That’s where the idea for Two Moons really took shape. Designing and building from scratch without limits, that’s every designer’s dream. And for us, that dream became a Two Moons Studio.

Celebrating the Small Wins.

A few years in, and we’re starting to see our work pop up alongside studios and creatives we’ve long admired. It’s a small thing, but a meaningful one.

We still remember those quiet nights scrolling through Awwwards, admiring all the beautiful work and wondering if, maybe one day, we’d see a little HM (and, maybe one day, even a SOTD) tag next to something of ours. It wasn’t the end goal, but it was always in the back of our minds, fueling the way we pushed, refined, and aimed for perfection.

So… What Is Awwwards and
CSS Design Awards?

If you’re not in the design world, Awwwards and CSS Design Awards are two of the most respected platforms for celebrating creativity, innovation, and craftsmanship in web design. They highlight work from designers and studios around the world, people pushing boundaries and bringing digital stories to life in thoughtful, exciting ways.

So getting an Honorable Mention and Recognition? We're quietly-doing-a-happy-dance-at-our-desks.

A Moment to Reflect.

No, it’s not “Site of the Day”. But it is a moment worth celebrating. A small marker of how far we’ve come—and a reminder that every tiny choice—the late-night pixel pushes, the endless refinements, the decision to choose craft over convenience, has led us here.

We’re learning to celebrate the little wins. Because they really do matter.

A Message to Anyone
Just Starting Out.

If you’re at the beginning, juggling studies, freelancing between classes, building your portfolio at 2AM, wondering if anyone’s even noticing, keep going.

The big wins might take time. The recognition might feel far off. But every tiny choice, every late-night edit, every project you pour yourself into, it adds up.

You don’t need fancy tools, a big following, or a polished portfolio to begin. You just need the willingness to keep showing up, to learn as you go, and to care deeply about the work you’re creating.

We’re not at the top. We’re still growing. But this little milestone? It’s proof that all those quiet steps do lead somewhere.
